Seeley Lake Weed Mitigation Task Force

In December 2008, The Clearwater Resource Council initiated the Weed Mitigation Task Force to coordinate weed management efforts across the Clearwater Valley. Our goals are to:

• gather existing information about weeds in the valley and fill in information gaps
• develop a weed management plan for the valley that prioritizes weed treatment needs
• working with landowners, implement weed management strategies across ownerships
• educate and engage the Seeley Lake community on weed management issues

The Task Force is made up of representatives from the US Forest Service, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Missoula County Weed District, Montana Department of Transportation, and several community members. The Task Force is open to the public, and we encourage you to join us in addressing weed issues in the Clearwater Valley. We meet at 10am on the second Monday of each month at the CRC office.
